Hello,

Does the SAML work also for zoho desk's customer portal and ecommerce websites authentication? I mean if a online shop who already gives credentials to their cutomers and want's to use Zoho customer portal for the cases follow up, will it be possible to keep the same credentials to connect to Zoho desk as a customer who wants to see his cases?

Hello Damien,

Thanks for showing interest. Any website can use their authentication for SSO(Single Sign On) using SAML for Zoho Desk Help Center (Customer Portal). Once the SAML configuration is done successfully, the users can be authenticated by the website and SAML response can be posted in the response URL provided by us. Thereby, we will authenticate the user in Zoho Desk Help Center and he will be able to track his tickets.


In the help document, we have given the procedure for a few known IDPs(Identity providers), that are used by many organizations. But, it is not limited to these providers. Any provider or custom app created by any website can also configure SAML for themselves.

Does Zoho have plans to become HIPPA compliant?

Hi Mike,

Zoho Desk ( Zoho) is not HIPAA compliant. However we have plans to be compliant with the HIPAA Act.

Currently Zoho is ISO 27001 , ISO 27017 and ISO 27018 certified. And Zoho is also SOC 2 Type II compliant in Security, Confidentiality, Processing Integrity ,Availability and Privacy .

We have successfully completed the GAP Assessment of HIPAA on a positive note. So, we are expecting Zoho to be HIPAA compliant, soon.

I am trying to configure Remote Authentication to incorporate our user management system. But I am struggling to set up. Do you have an example in C#? Even if some other language example is also fine.
