Hi folks!

We're back with the 4th episode of 'Ask the Experts - Zoho Inventory'. This week, we're discussing marketplace integrations and selling online through eBay. The best parts of this integration are that it consolidates all your orders into a single platform, allows for excellent stock management, and enables eBay drop shipping. Zoho Inventory currently integrates with eBay.com for the United States and eBay.co.uk for the United Kingdom. Just like in earlier episodes, our panel of experts will be around for a period of 7 hours to answer all your questions posted here.

Here are some topics we'll be covering:

  • Setting up the integration
  • Managing your eBay listings
  • Mapping product listings with Zoho Inventory
  • Managing warehouses
  • Inventory management and stock updates
  • Automation possibilities
  • Managing your eBay customers in Zoho CRM
  • Accounting sales and purchase transactions for your eBay store
  • Managing eBay drop shipping
  • Advanced inventory tracking for your eBay listings
  • Order management and fulfilment
  • Processing returns and refunds

Post your questions and suggestions about the topic, and our experts will make comments and give answers and pro tips in real time.
We'll be live on April 23, 2020, 4:30-11:30am PDT, 12:30-7.30pm BST.

You can also find our previous episode of 'Ask the Experts - Zoho Inventory' here.

all of marketplace orders can't provide the convert a PO function, but sometimes when the stock short or it's a need customise item, we need convert PO function to crate a Linked PO. So we need the marketplace SO have the convert PO function. Then it will help us more easy to manage this SO whole processing. Thanks.

Hey,

Sure, you can use the 'Convert to Purchase order’ option available from the eBay sales orders. Kindly go to the order which is synced in from Ebay>click on more>Convert to purchase order. This will create a purchase order which will be linked with the corresponding sales order.

Also, it is possible to create drop shipment for confirmed marketplace orders.

Thanks

And the marketplace orders only have bulk "Approve", but haven't bulk "Confirm" function. Many times, for the marketplace orders, we don't need confirm processing.

Hi there,

For the Marketplace Orders, the default status in which they are synced into Zoho Inventory is in the Confirmed Status. If the Approval process is enabled in your organization, the status in which the orders get synced is the Draft status and will be submitted for approval. You can then Bulk Approve the Orders. Now, apply the Approved Orders filter for the Sales Order list view. Doing this you can select orders in bulk and mark it as confirmed.

Is support for Ebay.co.uk new and complete? Also, am I able to markup my prices from those stored in Zoho Inventory?

Hi John,

Yes, eBay.co.uk integration is completely supported for Zoho Inventory and it is not a new feature.
And, I am afraid it is not possible to markup the prices from Zoho Inventory. You can control the prices from ebay. But, you can bring in all the sales orders over this integration and also control the stocks as well.

Thanks

Not being able to modify prices on Ebay is a show stopper for me. It is common practice to do this to recover some of the Ebay commission costs when selling on that platform. The same applies to selling on Amazon too. Can it be done with custom code as a work-around?

Hi John,

This is definitely something we do have in our roadmap for all the different sales channels integrated with Zoho Inventory. The best way to do this right now is a csv file update. You can however, make the sales on Amazon and eBay at independent sales prices irrespective of what cost you have against these same listings in Zoho Inventory.
On a custom mode you should be able to create a custom app in Zoho Creator which could manage the sales prices in these marketplaces and have this connected to Zoho Inventory to take care of any cost dependency as well.

Ashok, the help documentation states:

"We support only eBay.com at the moment"

This means that Ebay.co.uk is not supported. Can you check, please?

Hey John,

Apologies for this mistake in the documentation and thanks for notifying us. We will update it very soon. As we said earlier, eBay.co.uk integration is completely supported for Zoho Inventory.

Thanks,

Hey,

Thank you for following us in our community. I am afraid we do not have an option to manage stock transfers along with a Delivery Challan at the moment.
This is definitely in our pipeline and we will have this implemented in Zoho Inventory soon.

We will keep this space posted in case of any updates in this regards.

Hello Salman,

Understood.. Thank you for your response.

I understand that we have integration of Zoho Inventory with Ebay, but my client is looking for integrating Zoho inventory with Ebay Motors. Could you please help me out how this can be achieved. Do we have some provision to connect to Ebay Motors.

Hi Monika,

I am sorry to inform you that Ebay motors and Ebay.com integrations are different. We currently do not support Ebay motors integration but only with Ebay.com.
Do let me know in case you need any help with the latter. And also, I will have this put this up on our requirements.
You can write to us directly on support@zohoinventory.com for any clarifications.

Thanks&Regards,
