hi there,
we are a small digital business working with flexible working hours and we are having a hard time setting up zoho people for attendance tracking.
everyone of us has an individual agreement with the company regarding weekly hours (e.g. 40 hours/week, 35 hours/week, 30 hours/week). there is no fixed start / end time when "shifts" start. there is an agreement, that everyone has to be present between 10 am and 3 pm, the rest of the agreed hours are up to the employee. also, there is releative freedom in how many hours a day one works, for example i work 35 / hours a week, but mon-thu i will work 7.5 hours and on fri i will only work 5.0 hours (might change every other week). there might even be a week i work 40 hours and the other only 28 and so on... there just is the agreement that over a longer period of time the total balance of the hours is more or less zero. overtime-hours never get paid out or deleted. the hours worked within a day/week/mont don't have any impact on the salary, which is fixed.
we tried to implement these agreements into zoho people, but having trouble doing so.
i can't get zoho to count the payable hours in a way where it reflects our regulations.
for example, here is the tabular view for my profile for july until last week:
the payable hours for 04th, 05th and 06th of july are not including the overtime i was clocked in. i want zoho people to calculate the payable hours correctly. also i want to get zoho to tell me at any time, what my individual balance is (payable hours against expected hours).
can zoho do this? we don't rely on shifts or fixed working hours. this is a pretty standard working model in europe and especially germany (called "Gleitzeit", meaning something like "glide time"). so i think zoho should definitely support this.
regards
johannes
