We’re experiencing an issue with Cadence enrollment when assigning Emails to tagged contacts.
Recently, I tagged 12 contacts to assign Emails, but only 3 were successfully enrolled in the Cadence. Upon review, I found that enrollments only succeeded for contacts not already enrolled in another Cadence.
This also happened previously with 40 contacts, where over half weren’t enrolled in the new Cadence, though they were properly tagged.
It seems Zoho may limit each contact to a single Cadence, regardless of its status (“enrolled,” “completed,” or “unenrolled”). I’ve noticed that this issue only arises when I attempt to use the same Cadence name more than once on a contact. If I use a different Cadence each time, it works without any issues.
Since I lack permissions to delete Cadences, I tried setting contacts to "unenrolled" and reassigning the new Cadence. However, this only reactivated the old Cadence rather than enrolling them in the new one. Could you clarify if it’s due to my permissions that I’m unable to delete completed Cadences, or is it simply not possible for anyone to delete Cadences from contacts?
Individual Emails without Cadence work fine, so it appears that the Cadence functionality itself may be causing the issue. If there’s a way to allow multiple instances of the same Cadence on a contact or to clear completed Cadences automatically, that would likely solve the problem.
