I use the Collaborate tab for content approval with Clients, and the interface on the Client's end is consistently buggy. After troubleshooting on the Client's end of the process, starting with logging in after receiving an email notification of a mention in a post discussion, two major things happen:
- After clicking through the link in their email notification, the Client is taken to the Collaborate Tab, where the content is visible with their name mentioned (@NAME), but when the Client tries to type a comment into the comment field, clicking "Post" yields no results, as the loading graphic spins endlessly. On my end, however, the comment will be displayed immediately, despite the loading graphic never ceasing to spin on the Client's end. This makes the client think their comment never got posted and is a cause for major confusion.
- Secondly, after the Client clicks out of the Collaborate tab, or refreshes the page, the content disappears from the Collaborate tab, making the process very one sided. On my end all of the content and comments are available and viewable in the Collaborate tab at any time, but on the Client's end, content disappears and the only way to view it again is to sort through the notifications bar, which offers no visual cues and can take unwanted time.
If there were a way that the Collaborate Tab on the Client's end could mirror what I see on my end, where posts don't disappear unless they are deleted, that would make much more sense for Client Collaboration.
