Dear customers,
We're happy to bring you the October edition of our #CommunityDigest!
Let's look at some fresh updates that our team has rolled out to make your subscription billing easier:
1. Send SMS notifications to your subscribers:
We just launched an integration with Twilio to make sending SMS notifications to your subscribers quicker and simpler!
Previously, to send invoice notifications and payment reminders, you had to connect Zoho Subscriptions with SMS providers like Twilio using either webhooks or cloud connectors like Zoho Flow or Zapier. While this works, we wanted to offer something that's better and easier to set up. That's why we have rolled out this native integration with Twilio.
The best part is, you can completely customize when these text messages should be triggered—either Zoho Subscriptions can trigger the SMS automatically on your behalf, or, if you want to send the SMS only to select customers, you can manually notify them with a simple click.
So try this out and let us know what you think in the comments. To learn how to set it up, you can read our help guide.
2. Tips and Tricks:
In the previous edition of our digest, we looked at how you can set your customers' billing cycle based on an approval workflow.
Here's Tip #6: Accessing external URLs from Zoho Subscriptions. Using these instructions, you can create custom links for accessing other websites or applications by appending specific information (like a customer ID) from Zoho Subscriptions to the URL.
3. Customer Corner:
Meet Foyr, the world's first cloud-based SaaS provider for interior design. Foyr was inspired to adopt subscription billing by the global transition towards a subscription economy and their own observation that today's interior designers want a pay-as-you-go model.
After deploying Zoho Subscriptions' dunning mechanism for their subscriptions, the Foyr team observed that their involuntary churn has gone down by 50%, which is a huge improvement for businesses of any size.
In fact, dunning management is the feature that a lot of our customers love most about Zoho Subscriptions. In case you have not set it up yet for your business, here's our help guide to get you started.
4. Weekly webinar:
Our in-house product experts host a weekly webinar on how you can run your subscription business efficiently using Zoho Subscriptions. If you're new to our application, we highly recommend tuning in! You can not only learn how to customize the app to your specific needs, but also have your questions answered by our team instantly. This webinar is completely free and anyone who's interested can join. Here's the link:
