Deprecation of old OAuth tokens for sandbox environment APIs
Hello Everyone,
As you all know, we have made a detailed public announcement on the updates in the OAuth flow.
As a continuation of that, and to take a significant step in ensuring that our customers should be using environment-specific OAuth tokens, we are deprecating the old OAuth tokens for organizations accessing the sandbox environment. The change will be effective from August 1, 2020.
Who will be affected?
The organizations that are still using old OAuth tokens to access their organizations in the sandbox environment will be affected, and the subsequent API calls made using the old OAuth tokens will fail.
What should be done?
The application owners who are still using old OAuth tokens to access their organizations in the sandbox environment must update them with new sandbox organization-specific tokens.
Check this help doc to know how to generate organization-specific tokens.
What if you use the old OAuth tokens to access the production environment?
We will reserve the old OAuth tokens as production environment-specific OAuth tokens by default after August 1, 2020, to facilitate an automated way of handling your existing production access.
