When a Sales Order is created from the Desk interface, there is no way to get it out of the 'draft' status without actually emailing it to the customer.
There are many, many, many, many cases where this isn't the workflow.
In the regular Books / Inventory UI, once the Sales Order is saved as a draft, it can be marked as 'confirmed' manually. It is impossible to do this from the Desk interface, and that's a problem.
My particular use case is when customer service reps need to send out replacement parts. I want them to enter a Sales Order via Desk so that whomever is picking/shipping in the warehouse can fulfill. There's no way for that to happen, though, because the Sales Order is stuck in the 'draft' status. I don't want to give my CS people direct access to Inventory or Books.
I'm certain there are other use cases, but this seems like it would be a relatively common one.
