15 months ago (and nearly $30,000 in integration consultant fees ago), I embarked on a quest to implement Zoho One to automate my 21 year old business. I produce GPS Fleet Management software and sell subscriptions to it along with various hardware GPS device products for vehicles. After all that time and all of that money, I still do not have an integrated automation platform. Here are my major issues:
1) CRM and Books (integration turned on) do not share contact information, sales activity or anything.
2) I can't create an "estimate" in CRM that will appear in Books and I can't create an "estimate" in Books that CRM knows about
3) If I try to create an "estimate" in CRM, I'm not able to access the items in Books (which also have to exist separately in Inventory).
4) Subscriptions in the subscriptions module can only be automated if a customer allows automatic recurring payment by credit card. If they want to manually enter credit cards, pay by ACH or pay by check, all of the subscription processing must be done manually (send estimate manually, accept estimate manually, issue invoice manually, process payment manually).
5) Subscriptions don't show up in Books forecast revenue because, according to Subscriptions, I don't have any active subscriptions when, in fact, I have hundreds.
6) We use Zoho Mail. Not one single app in the Zoho system is aware of it. If I click on an email address in any Zoho app it goes to the Windows default mail client and its not possible to make Zoho Mail the default Windows mail client.
7) Zoho Meeting is so bad (audio quality, video quality) that I've been asked to stop using it by my customers and colleagues. Is this everyone else's experience as well?
8) Why do I have to spend a good part of my day seeing "Zoho has become unresponsive. Do you want to wait for the application or close?". It is infuriating how balky and slow this system can be.
I really don't want to spend more money on more "consultants" to make this work, if it is even possible for it to work but I also don't want to flush the $36K I've spent already trying to get it to work. Part of me suspects that the "consultants" may have already made it as good as it can be and that further attempts to make it function as an integrated system will be doomed. I have a business to run and my business is NOT managing or making a software tool work. The more time, effort and money I spend on trying to do that, the less a tool this system becomes. Where do I go for help or do I just go talk to NetSuite?
