If we create a contact suppression list & add mark them as 'do not email' - will these contacts still be able to receive autoresponder emails with a link to download the file if they complete form request through our website? Or if we need to send them non-marketing communications, such as account/billing notices or other specific types of communication?
We have several ways we approach our lists, one being a 'suppression list.' This group is suppressed from general marketing announcements, but remain in a (suppressed) mailing list for communications previously mentioned.
How do you advise we handle? Or.... could the below suggestion be a feature easily and swiftly added?
Suggestion: When sending an email campaign, you need to have a group for the list you want to include - as well as a group for the list you want to exclude - in the event a contact/lead ends up being on multiple lists, but happen to also be on a list(s) you do not want included to receive the email.
Thanks.
{{Additional notes -
The list and workflow management lack important options needed to trigger an action. For example: if a regular WF is created and contacts/leads already exists in the database, the WF is being ignored... even after a sync has occurred. Time-based WFs make sense to use when applicable, but not every WF should have to be set up to run on a time specified. You run the risk of multiple accounts across the world (presumably) running mass updates at or around the same time. The standard WFs need to be built with specific triggers available that will only update those contacts/leads in small and random batches. I.e. Contact/Lead last activity was __ days. Contact/Lead was created more/less than __ days.
Editing an active WF - should not have to be pause, clone, delete the old to keep original naming structure, rename the new and make edits, activate.}}
