Does anyone know what widgets are for?

Does anyone know what widgets are for?

My question is because I made a widget for the workspace in which I work, I understand that it is not useful for public sharing as well as forms or reports, but I tried to use it for my clients within the application, unfortunately it no longer works I had to share the reports where I made the query to my clients, which I find very exhausting, if someone has already implemented the widget so that their clients can see it without having to share the reports, I would appreciate it.
