Drop down list not displaying records - has stopped administration for today - When will this be fixed??

Hi there,

Our drop down list now longer displays all the records from the drop down list.  We have a large no. of records to choose from.  This has halted the administration for our company for today, which is costing us alot of money.  We desperately need this fixed ASAP.  Can you please provide us with some feed back, or at least let me know if I should look into alternative options (adding a new text field and getting rid of the lookup field if its not going to work).
