Due to a temporary glitch, the "Thank you note" emails were being sent automatically. Our team has taken the required steps to rectify this problem. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Kindly create a payment with the option "Email a 'thank you' note for this payment" unchecked. After doing so, the system will automatically disable this option for all future payments.
Previously, the setting was unchecked. In your recent update, it was checked by default.
I DON'T WANT THAT. There is no setting to turn that off. I DO NOT WANT A THANK YOU EMAIL FOR PAYMENTS.
You keep on forcing users on your OWN default settings when every business has a different use case.
The same thing goes with the default behavior for receiving payments or bills payment. You always have the annoying pop up box about applying the amount to the payment field. There is NO way to turn that off even though it is very annoying and intrusive.
It's good to have your OWN ZOHO defaults but give us the damn option to turn it OFF
Following a recent update on our end, the option "Email a thank you note for this payment" got enabled, resulting in the automatic sending of emails. We have since implemented a solution to fix the problem.
Also, I will relay your feedback about the need for control options within the Settings section to manage the behaviour of the "Thank you Note" and the pop-up "Would you like this amount to be reflected in the Payment field?" to our development team. They will review and take your inputs into account.
As your support expert informed me, this checkbox has to be disabled EVERY TIME a payment is recorded for a customer for the first time. That's really an issue as we really don't want any thank you mails to be sent to our customers. And without an way to disable this option it makes it very likely that unwanted emails are beeing sent.
