The Employee Salary form is problematic for two reasons. Perhaps this is US-centric, but I believe these issues are also common in other regions.
First, it should be renamed Employee Pay (or Employee Compensation). Salary has a specific meaning of annualized pay that is not tied to the number of hours worked.
Second, there's no way to distinguish the value in the form as a wage (hourly pay) vs. a salary.
Many / most companies have a blended workforce, with some people receiving a wage (pay per hour of work) and others, usually management and professionals, receiving an annual salary not directly related to hours worked.
It should be possible to make this distinction in the form, as that would be important for workflows tied to establishment of compensation, pay raises, etc.
