Enhancements in Social CRM and Home Page Customization
We are excited to announce the introduction of new features in Zoho CRM under Social CRM and Home Page customization. Please read further to learn more.
Automate lead generation via social media
The social media platform is undoubtedly a rich source of leads for a business. For example, you may want to convert your mentions and enquiries on Twitter as leads in CRM and follow up with them further.
Currently, you can add your social media followers as leads and contacts in Zoho CRM from the Social tab. But what if, as a rule, say you wanted to add
all those who "mention" you on Twitter, as a lead in CRM? Or you wish to add
everyone who "comments" on your posts as "contacts" in CRM?
This is a monotonous task when done manually. Zoho CRM now lets you automate this activity. Using what we call social automation rules, you can automate the addition of leads and contacts in CRM via Twitter, Facebook and Google+.
For example, you can specify the following instruction to CRM via a social automation rule:
"If someone
Mentions your brand or
Retweets your posts on Twitter, add them as a
Contact and assign the contact to CRM users based on the
Social Assignment rule."
When this criteria gets fulfilled, the person in question is automatically added as a Contact in CRM and the lead source is auto-populated as "Twitter".

Introducing Customized Home page
If there is one most important page in all of your Zoho CRM, it would be your Home page. It is the Home page that gets you prepared for a busy day, keeps you organized when you feel lost or indicates the progress of your work anytime you want to know. Now adding to your convenience, we are introducing a new home page view called the
Customized Home page.
Apart from the Classic View and User's Home page(previously known as Customized View), you can now create and share
custom homepage layouts for each role. Using the Customized Home Page, you can add components that are relevant to respective roles and share it with them.
For example, as a sales manager, you might want all your sales reps to be on top of certain components like Overdue Tasks, Sales by Leads Source, Deals closing this month, Revenue by Territory etc. You can simply create a Customized home page, call it the
Sales Team View, add these components and share it with the respective role.
This Customized Home Page would become the default view for all the users associated with the role, each time they click on the Home tab. You can switch to different views under the Home tab from the drop-down on top right corner.
