Footer mail adresses do not open new message

Footer mail adresses do not open new message

HI, 
We're sending mail campaigns with a footer we've customized. 
In the sentence " This mail has been sent by [email] to [email] " ZC loads the our sender email adress and the customer'one.
But clicking on these mail adresses doesn't open any new message. 
Which in a way make sense !
But then, is that usefull to keep a "email look like" font ?
This is disturbing for customers (3 of them told it to me by phone). They genuinely prefer to use the footer email adress rather than a button in the message. 
Am I wrong on this issue ?
