I've tried the two-way sync between Desk and CRM but it's just uploading too much bad data to CRM. We've tried implementing several review processes in CRM but end up spending more time cleaning than we would spend manually adding the records.
So, I have disabled two-way sync and am now using sync CRM to DESK only. However, it would be helpful for us to have the option to push contacts/accounts to CRM manually and on a case by case basis.
Does someone have a function I could use to upload a contact to CRM? We'd trigger the function via a workflow with a checkbox inside the contact record.
In Desk, before upload all contacts would have an account assigned already so it would just be a matter of creating the contact (assigned to the linked account) and associated contact fields (email, phone, mobile, notes).
