Holiday email tips: 5 deliverability questions to answer
Choosing the right email strategy during the holidays might often appear to be difficult. And after deciding the marketing strategies, the main aim of every email marketer is to deliver the messages to contacts. However, this sometimes becomes a tedious task due to the various deliverability factors.
Everyone becomes busy with the holiday season approaching, so as an email marketer you should make sure that you're crafting and sending comfortable and convenient emails for your recipients. In order to strengthen your marketing strategies, you might have to revisit it and consider a few deliverability questions before going ahead with your holiday email campaigns. Let's get to them one-by-one:
1. Have you set up SPF and DKIM?
If you're a beginner in email marketing, it is important to know about SPF and DKIM. You have to authenticate your account with SPF and DKIM that will help you send secured emails that have better chances of landing in the recipient inbox and build more engagement with them that results in boosting your revenue.
2. Did you warm up your IP address?
Most of the brands start sending bulk emails during holidays with their new IP and end up in receiving a lot of bounces which makes the IP blacklisted and future emails would land in spam folder. This can be avoided to an extent by warming up your IP to ensure a perfect sending reputation. So that even if you're having to send a last-minute product update or any other urgent high volume of emails during holidays, the warming up process would make it easier for you to reach your recipient inboxes.
3. Are you including a lot of images in your email content?
Images do grab the attention of recipients and it helps them to digest a lot of information easily. However, using one large image as your entire email in order to convey the holiday greetings, or too many images in general, tends to end up in recipients' spam folders. To make this easier for you, Zoho Campaigns provides 240+ ready-to-use email templates. All you have to do is select one and start editing it based on your business needs.
4. Are you sending emails to the right people?
Some of your recipients might not be interested in receiving your holiday email offers or surprises so make sure to exclude them from your email list and reduce further complaints and unsubscribes. 5. Are you sending emails to old inactive lists?
