How to disable emoji in Smartchat ?

In the smartchat (connected to Cliq), I have a problem that makes typing messages so boring, complicated and very frustrating because of emojis.

Example :

I'm writing down an explaination to my mates with bullet points, like :

Hello guys. I need you to :
- solve the 2 issues in trello
- blablabla

The problem is with the ":" . Each time I type ":", the emojis popup opens and since I type "Enter" to write on the next line, the popup thinks I type Enter to use the preselected Emoji ! Then. I need to go back (backspace X times), and restart.

I have a similar issue when I type ":D" for example. I would like to send a message with the heppy emoji, for example :

Awesome guys :D good job

Butthe emoji popup needs me to type "Enter" to validate the Emoji. If I don't type Enter, the emoji popup remains opened and tries to parse the full string I typed after the ":". Then in my example, the popup tries to parse ":D good job", and suggest to me the "Aïd Mubarak" emoji (that is totally inconsistent in my case).

So I'm always verifying my messages, go back, retype, restart again, and again, and again. It becomes very complicated to communicate with my guys...

I really think something is wrong with the smartchat. Isnt it ?

I dont have this behaviour in Cliq. Maybe the emoji popup in smarchat should be rebuild from Cliq's one ?

Is there a way to disable emoji in my smartchat ?

Perform effective team communication in Zoho Chat with our new 'Reply' option. Converse and stay focussed on the parent conversation, rather than getting entangled in the web of several, never-ending sub threads.
