How to use Leads module for target companies when no contact is known
One of our priorities for our CRM is to use it as a prospecting list for the companies we want to sell to. We know what the big buyers of our product are out there, and who would be dream accounts. At this stage of the process, we have no contact in these companies, they are simply a list of target companies, and we wish to use our Leads module to set high, medium and low priority targets for the team to research and try to get a contact to reach out to. I tried to switch off the "Last Name" as being mandatory but it won't let me. Does anyone have a suggestion of how we can create a Prospecting list of companies in Zoho, without contacts attached?
Wonder if I can just type "TBC" in the mandatory 'Last Name' field, and we sort on Company Name?
Or should we use the Accounts module and have a status field which includes "Target Account"?
Or any other ideas?
I do understand from reading this forum that "Leads" in Zoho means you have a human being whose details you have. I guess we are wanting to use it for the stage before that so it doesn't work for us.
