http://contacts.zoho.com/ tries to load and stalls behind firewall

I have an Internet Explorer 8.0.6001.18702 browser behind a corporate firewall that I'm using at lunchtime to access my Zoho spreadsheet that helps me manage my banking. Alas, the status bar at the bottom that tells me when pages load gets stuck with a small blue progress bar that only is as complete as a simple vertical line. It last tells me it is trying to load from http://contacts.zoho.com/ I do not use the Contacts feature of Zoho at all, and do not need to. As a result of this aborted attempt to load the contact information, it requires me frequently to refresh my spreadsheet, and go back to the cell that I was at each time I refresh, and re-enter my information, because it doesn't save the info every second or third change. When I try to enter a simple formula behind the firewall, of =100.01+35.17+22.14 instead what appears is =100.01+35.1722.14++ even though I wait for each character to appear before typing the next. And when I attempt to click my cursor between the 17 and the 22, another + appears at the end of the formula line. I have to copy paste from Notepad just to get a formula to stick the way I wish it to when I go behind the firewall. This problem has started with Zoho 3.0. Please make it possible to disable all Contact.zoho.com access from the spreadsheet, when the status bar below does not ask for it. The << and >> in the Zoho status bar on the bottom left will not save the spreadsheet with the contact icons hidden. This means I can't force it to ignore contacts at all. I've attempted compatibility mode, deleting my cookies, and emptying my browser cache to no effect.
