Hello everyone!
We are excited to announce that the JWT Authentication Mechanism for the Help Center has been rolled out for public release. This feature was initially made available on a request basis and is now accessible to all. We hope that it will enhance the security and user experience for all our Desk users.
What is JWT Authentication?
JWT, or JSON Web Token, is a secure and compact method for transmitting information between parties, ensuring data integrity and authenticity. In the context of the Desk Help Center, this introduces a more robust authentication process for end-users. Admins can now configure JWT-based authentication in Zoho Desk, adding an extra layer of security and control over user access.
For those unfamiliar with this feature, guest users in the Help Center can access knowledge base articles, submit tickets, and participate in the user community without logging in. Authenticated users, who log in via self-signup, SAML, or now JWT, can have additional benefits such as following topics, adding topics, and commenting on posts.
Important Note:
The Remote Authentication mechanism will soon be removed. We encourage all users currently using Remote Authentication to migrate to either SAML or JWT at their earliest convenience.

Your feedback and questions are always welcome, so feel free to share them in the comments section.
Thank you for your continued support, and have a great day!
Regards,
Varsha P.
