One of the functions I use most in Google Docs is the ability to collaborate on a spreadsheet by emailing a URL through my own email system (currently Vertical Response). Anyone with the URL can edit the document with or without a Google account and I don't have to email the link through Google Docs.
This is incredibly convenient for me, since people subscribe and unsubscribe from my master list at will. This function also allows me to include the URL in an HTML email with a specific design instead of relying on the plain email that would be sent internally from Google Docs.
Google Docs is fairly buggy in this area and some of my recipients, when they click on the URL I send, land on a page that tells them that the link is inaccessible. I have even had this happen to me when sending myself a test email. Most of the issues have been in Firefox, but not all of them.
This ability to send a URL that would allow the receipient to collaborate on a spreadsheet just by clicking on that URL, with no other steps required, is very important to my work flow. At the moment, this would be the sole reason that I would switch to Zoho Docs from Google Docs.
Does this ability exist in the Zoho Docs system?
Thank you for your help.
