KPI Widget - last 7 days sales vs same period last year

KPI Widget - last 7 days sales vs same period last year

Hello

I cannot work out how to display the sum of my sales for the previous 7 days with the same 7 day period a year ago so I can see whether sales this year are up on the same period last year.  

I suspect my issue is due to the "Group By" option, which I've currently got set to Week & Year.  This will look at the current week of this year, and compare to the same week number last year, but this doesn't make sense to us because unless we're viewing the KPI widget on the 7th day of the week, the comparison is meaningless (because the current week is not yet finished).

If I select Group By = Quarter, or Month, or anything else, we have the same issue because the "current" period is not yet complete.

So, how do I compare a finished date period (eg last 7 days, last 4 weeks) etc, with the same finished period the year previous?
