In our previous post, we learned about date-field autoresponders.
In this post, we'll discuss email-action autoresponders.
Email-action autoresponders lets you send sequential emails to customers based on their interaction in previously sent emails. This type of autoresponder lets you target your contacts depending on their email activity. If your contact has clicked a link or button in an email or even opened your email, you can set this autoresponder to send relevant email campaigns based on their interests.
Here are a few scenarios where you can use email-action autoresponders:
Send out followup emails based on customer's email activity
Target customers who have opened your emails with relevant campaigns
Track link click activity of customers and send relevant emails that pique their interests
Let's look at a user scenario to understand how this autoresponder works.
Georgina sends an email newsletter to contacts in her mailing lists about new features introduced in her product. She lists the benefits of using these features in her newsletters, including a trial link for each new feature. She'll first send an email with the trial links to all her contacts. She'll then set up this autoresponder to send sequential emails to her contacts based on which trial link they have clicked. Finally, she'll send email newsletters with detailed information about the feature and how it could help enhance their business, all of which will hopefully increase how many people use the features.
