Marketer's space: Making of a successful webinar email campaign - ICS component
Hello marketers,
This week's Marketer's space is all about learning to create and promote your webinar email campaign successfully. To begin, we'll discuss how useful and easy Zoho Campaigns' Template Editor is.
While creating a campaign, most marketers use the Template Editor's basic components to add an image or a text box to their campaign. Sometimes, though, these simple tools aren't enough to get the job done right.
In this series of posts, we'll look at the usefulness of four handpicked tools from the advanced component section that can help you create a successful webinar email campaign.
The ICS component
Our first tool is called ICS. It's a file format that allows users to store and exchange calendar and schedule information such as events, to-dos, and much more.
Hopefully a user scenario will help you understand ICS better.
Zoey is a marketing executive at a company called Zylker. Being a digital marketing company, Zylker decides to conduct a webinar on the importance of social media marketing for its leads and customers. Zylker is focused on educating their audience on what they do.
Weeks before the webinar, all the marketers in Zylker are asked to promote the webinar in various online marketing channels. Zoey is assigned to promote the webinar through email marketing. She does a fair amount of research before creating email campaigns. Eventually, she stumbles upon the ICS component in the template editor of Zoho Campaigns.
She includes the ICS component in the webinar email campaign. She specifies the date and time of webinar in the component. A week ahead of the webinar, Zoey sends this first email campaign to all the contacts of Zylker hoping to get good results. With two clicks, recipients can add the webinar information to their calendar and stay notified. It's that simple!
