In our previous post, we discussed sharing campaign reports with other members of your organization.
Today, we'll discuss marking a campaign as dormant.
An email marketer can send out test emails to discover how their campaign looks in the recipient's inbox. Based on those test emails, email marketers can create better email campaigns that would be appealing to their recipients.
However, a test email doesn't tell an email marketer how the campaign will performed or how it will be received by contacts in their mailing lists. To evaluate a campaign's performance and the recipients' reactions, an email marketer must send the campaign to their contacts. That is where this feature comes into play.
In Zoho Campaigns, you can mark your email campaign as dormant and evaluate its performance by sending it to selective recipients. A dormant campaign can be sent for up to 25 recipients.
Viewing the campaign reports will tell you how your campaign performed and how your recipients reacted. Tweak the campaign based on the evaluation before sending it out to all the contacts in your mailing lists.
A dormant campaign report summary includes only basic details such as real-time campaign data and recipient activities such as the number of opens and clicks. Since a campaign is marked as dormant to test its performance, the reports generated will not be included in the campaigns' overall stats such as the last five campaigns sent or in the yearly report of all sent campaigns.
