New and old problems and glitches. And some progress, of course.
Dear Zoho Docs Team,
Thank you for your great products. However, i would like to get back to some old problems mentioned here: https://help.zoho.com/portal/en/community/topic/couple-of-old-questions-regarding-access-features-when-the-new-versions-will-be-available (and throughout all links and comments inside) and add some new.
Let's see, what we have for now:
* Russian localization: you have great localization for Sheet/Writer, but we still can't see any Russian character inside Docs itself. it has few buttons and functions, buy they are still untranslated and users are frustrated and confused by this fact
* as far as i can see, invited users can delete files and rename folders now; am i right?
* you allowed some special characters for folder names, that's good
* we can move folders inside workspace, that's good
* moving files/folders across workspaces doesn't work - it says and shows that it has been moved, but after reloading page there are no changes
* "copying" files from Personal docs to Workspace still doesn't work - i can move it by mouse in my Firefox10, Zoho says it has been copied, but i can't see it inside Workspace after that procedure
* still lacks one of the most important features - "docs admin/or how you call this"; our admins still can't do anything with shared documents of other users; curiously, they can do anything with users, even change their passwords and log in with their credentials and then delete everything, but they are restricted to do anything with docs
* we have tons of old documents from fired users and just can't do anything with them; the only way is to open them, export to localdist and then upload again, convert to internal format and reshare/add to particular workspaces again;
* we have no way to just backup our documents and prevent users from unintentional or internional deleting of them
* that's all is very annoying
* internal format - we still can't do this easily, users are frustrated and do not understand this well; i described this here: https://help.zoho.com/portal/en/community/topic/add-an-ability-to-import-docs-into-zoho-during-upload you said this is under development, when are you going to release it?
* we are still confused by Personal documents, Workspaces and Groups; too many concepts, most used of them (Workspaces) have least features:
* for example, i can't do the easiest thing inside Workspace - rename my own document, i have to find it through hundreds of docs in my personal folder and then rename;
* furthermore, i have to have the same complicated folder structure inside my Personal documents as i have inside all our workspaces just to find my docs for few hours instead of weeks in case of plain folder structure as it has by default
* sharing files from Workspace doesn't allow to add it to another workspace (even for my own files; i remeber doing this before)
* still lacks of Bookmarks option, so every day they have to open Zoho Docs, go through tens of folders and find documents they need
* still doesn't fully support of Folder uploading
* doesn't any operations with folders - > adding to workspace from personal folder and so on
Furthermore, see my trouble tickets number: 1648938, 1272936 (it IS still here), 1610733
So please, could you please explain situation with most important things like Docs admin who is allowed to do everything or something like that to prevent all problems i mentions, Docs backup and so on.
