I have set for a category that all submitted articles must be reviewed and approved by a specific person. I noticed the following things.
If and what the reviewer has to do / to check, he must manually and actively gather. For example, he must select the respective category and open the Review tab:
Only at this point the items to be checked are listed...
I find it super weird and strange that the dashboard is no help on this. It would be helpful when you could see how many items, since when, need to be checked by whom.
So now when I, as an author, write an article and give it for review:
.. Reviewer does not receive a notification, for example:
Should the reviewer, however, come across the article to be reviewed, he can only click on publish. How can I give feedback to the requester, request changes or similar?
In summary:
- How can the reviewer be made aware of the articles under review?
- Where can the reviewer get an overview of all the articles to be reviewed? (Across categories!)
- What notification options are there (email doesn't seem to work)?
- How can the reviewer contact the author? Where can feedback be given?
This review process feature seems to be very neglected... :(
