One User, Several Domains and Email addresses - Impossible to practically use Mail?

In another similar recent topic (https://help.zoho.com/portal/en/community/topic/multi-email-acounts-domains), I have been discussing the difficulty of using Mail with more than one domain and multiple email accounts/addresses.

I understand Zoho Aliases, I've linked in my domains, and I can collect/send my emails online from various identities, via Mail in a browser, Android app and via my local email client (Thunderbird) - that all works fine - what I cannot understand or practically make sense of to use in any useful or sensible way is Zoho's single Inbox concept that bundles all my emails from various sources altogether in one large mixed up bucket (AKA Zoho Mail Inbox).

It was suggested I use Filters and Folders and at first this seems like the obvious solution but I have hit some usability issues with this concept and it still doesn't solve the issues of running several domains/email accounts through Zoho Mail as a single-user, single person business with several email addresses spanning several domains that I need to administer. 

After a lot of testing and research over recent days, it turns out that filtered folders do not answer the problem of having several domains all having their emails being dumped into the one large bucket known as Zoho Mail's Inbox, even if they are then appropriately filtered into their own subfolders of that Inbox.

Despite what Zoho seem to imply about Mail having a "Unified" Inbox, it just doesn't seem to be the case and may only apply to when having more than one (paid) user per Zoho One Mail account? (i.e. twice the fee for in effect more than one user even though it's still just me?)

For testing I setup my emails for two different domain's inboxes/mail accounts and Zoho aliases to filter them into their own subfolders of Zoho Mail's Inbox, however, there seems to be no practical way that I can easily see and review the emails in a useful way. Whilst not the quite the same as a true Unified view in other programs, it would solve the problem if there was the ability in Mail to click on a parent folder (or inbox itself) and for Mail to show ALL the contents of those folders below it. However, in Mail, to view anything, one has to navigate into each subfolder of Inbox, one by one to see the contents.

This limitation of a true Unified view of filtered emails is not so bad in the Mail web browser interface view which clearly shows a count of emails for each sub-folder, however, in the Android app, it is a navigational nightmare to have to go into each subfolder, one by one, to see if there is any new mail - it's impractical and requires several clicks backwards and forwards through each subfolder (and any sub-subfolders) - there is no clear overview at all that I can find and it makes Mail completely impractical to use when there is more than one domain, mail account or named aliased mailbox. 

Another issue is that via my normal email program/client (Thunderbird) which I successfully linked up via IMAP I can see all the folders and they are fully subscribed to for instant collection, however, the subfolders of the Zoho Inbox do NOT update unless I specifically click on each one in turn to pull in any new emails.

I do not understand how people are managing to see or navigate through their emails from all sources and to then clearly understand where they have all come from, their importance, or, in the case of the app, navigate through the subfolders, or for via email client, to get updated folder contents to see or be notified of new emails?!

The only remaining option for me to use Mail seems to be to abandon Filters and Folders and bundle them all together again in the root of Zoho Mail's singular Inbox concept which I'm finding is one issue preventing me starting with Zoho and subscribing to Zoho One.

Please someone, tell me I've still not found the useful way to use Mail or is this the true limitation of Mail - I'll gladly eat all the humble pie there is, but I cannot work out how to make Mail's Inbox bundling useful for more than one  domain or email account, let alone several.
