My music entertainment business receives some of it's clients via event planners for example.
For those cases, we have the event planner set up as an account, with contacts of the event company linked. We are integrated with zoho books, which takes the invoicing information from the account, and bring across the related contact information.
This doesn't work where we are billing the client directly, but we need to maintain contact through the event company for all other contact. We therefore set up the account as a new company eventco/client, but having the same contact details means having duplicate contacts and seems to create problems.
Putting aside the invoicing situation, the other option of having the account as the event company, with many potentials hanging of it, causes too much confusion with accounting, as each event has staged invoicing, so it's preferable to have it all tied together by each client/event.
I'm not sure if there is a better way to do this, or if crm books just don't have the flexibility to cater for this! Please help!
