I am after understanding fundamental permission behaviour in Zoho CRM related to record ownership.
How should I configure CRM user roles and profiles so that users in the roles hierarchy on the same level can change the record ownership?
In other words: in a module where Data Sharing Settings is set to Public Read/Write/Delete: who in my org is able to change ownership of a record? I have a flat hierarchy with only 2 roles and want that anyone can do so.
From my experience, only the Administrator Profile can change ownership, other users see the ownership as option locked for editing - here is an example from Contacts module:
- as seen by regular user profile
- looking at at record of another user (same role)
An Administrator profile does not see the lock.
Previously I thought profiles have no influence on record ownership and only roles have.
