How come, profile photos (candidates, contacts, and accounts) can't be synchronized between Recruit and CRM?
Surely it can't be a technical problem?
Is there some solution that I haven't noticed?

Hello Klaus,

We currently don't have the option to sync profile pictures. However, this is in our roadmap. We will keep you updated once there is further progress. Thank you.

Is there any connection between this issue and that I'm told that the Zoho Recruit API has some limitations, compared to the Zoho CRM API? These limitations mean that third-party plugins can't upload a profile image when I create/update a Client profile.
No problem with Contacts/Candidates, only Clients.

This doesn't hold a connection with our APIs. We certainly have APIs that helps you upload a profile picture to candidate and contacts. Refer the below helplink for API details .

As I stated, there are no problems using the API to upload picture to candidates or contacts. The problem is with the Clients module. Your link seems to confirm that you can only upload pictures to candidates/contacts via the API.

In Zoho CRM it is possible to upload profile pictures to Accounts via the API, I'm told. This is what I'm asking for in Recruit.

Whether that is also the reason for the lack of synchronization of profile pictured between Zoho CRM and Zoho Recruit, I don't know. If this is the case, there shouldn't be a reason not to allow synchronizing the profile pictures for candidates/contacts, right?

Hello Klaus, Thank you for these details. At the moment, upload a profile picture to a client isn't available via API due to specific use cases pertaining to Recruitment domain. However, the request for syncing this thru CRM sync makes sense. I will have this taken to the product team and would discuss on both API as well as the CRM sync limitation. We will update you as soon as I hear back from them. Thank you once again and appreciate your patience in the meantime.

While I wait, may I ask what specific use cases in the recruitment area are the cause for not uploading client photos (logo) via API?
It is not uncommon for a recruitment company to want to show the logo of the client in question on some job posts. 
Just curious.
