Hello,
I just ran in to a frustrating issue and wanted to share it. While creating a Blueprint, I went ahead and added a number of states, which I noticed actually get created in the Ticket Status page under the Customization section. After realizing that the name of some weren't ideal, I decided to rename so they made more sense. I then discovered that it isn't quite that simple...
There is only an Add State option within the Blueprint editor, but no way to rename one once created. If you navigate to to the Ticket Status page and try to rename it there, you are informed that it is part of a Blueprint and must be disassociated first.
So essentially, if you have created a very complex Blueprint and determine that some of the states need to be re-named, you will have to perform some miracle work in order to do so. I expect you would have to insert some other states temporarily to join the transitions to, so you can disassociate the problem states, rename them, then put them back. If you were to just remove the states from the Blueprint, all your connected transitions would be deleted and you might have to start from scratch.
Have I missed something?
