The localization capabilities in Zoho Creator are great, and as a partner who heavily relies on them, I’d like to suggest a few improvements. These changes would streamline workflows, save valuable development time, and enhance the customer experience.
Preserve Translations During Report Duplication
Often, we create and translate a report, but later need to duplicate or recreate it. Unfortunately, we have to retranslate everything from scratch, even though the original translations are already available in the system. This complicates consistency and increases the time spent on maintenance.
Improve the Translation Interface
Currently, after translating a component, the translation dialog closes, requiring us to reopen it for each change. This is cumbersome and disrupts the flow. It would be helpful if the dialog remained open or allowed for batch translations without repetitive navigation.
Support for Importing Translations via CSV or XLS
Just like in Zoho Forms and Zoho Survey, adding the ability to translate using a CSV or XLS import would be highly efficient. This feature would save time and reduce the chance of errors during translation.
Translation Backup Options
It's currently too easy to accidentally delete translations, with no option to restore them. Translations can take hours of effort, so it would be great if backups included all translation data to prevent accidental loss.
These enhancements would make a meaningful difference for partners and users working with multilingual apps. I hope you consider them for future updates!
