Sending generic preliminary emails from PO's / Quote's module without attachment
Hello,
A request to be able to send generic emails from Quotes and PO's module in case you need to build a conversation history prior to sending PO.
Example:
1. I generate a PO and put it in "RFQ" status, initially setting price to an estimated value, just so I can initially create the record.
2. I send an email to the vendor through the PO module with a basic inquiry or RFQ.. maybe just body of text. Let's say I'm reaching out to a crane services company to ask if their cranes are available and to send us a proposal
3. Once I'm then ready to generate the PO, I can roll the PO status to "Ordered", then use the built-in email function to attach the PDF using template of choice.. maybe even reply to the last email within the Emails section of the PO module and attach the template that way, therefore keeping the same email thread intact
This interaction allows emails prior to sending a PO to stick to the Related Emails for that Purchase Order record, keeping the history in one place.
