Having a captive audience that is completely focused on what you're saying and not distracted by taking notes or reading slides can help you deliver more effective presentations. To do this, you can use supplementary resources to help them understand and remember what you've shared much better. Knowing they can reference these after the session will make them feel more comfortable about simply watching you and listening.
Create relevant resources
As everyone absorbs information differently, it's important to choose the right type of session material and design it in a way that every participant will be benefited. With Backstage, you can create and add presentations in the Sessions tab in the Event Console. While you're conducting your session, you can easily share your session material by displaying it to the audience.
Similarly, you can also upload handouts, which can be documents, presentations, or even videos. Handouts can summarize or expand more on what you're talking about in the session or sharing in your presentation. For people who lean toward visual or practical aids, adding graphics to your presentations and related exercises or questions in your handouts can be beneficial.
Manage materials and handouts
You can easily manage your materials and handouts from the Sessions tab. Click the Materials or Handouts link for any session to access the files you have uploaded. You can view and download files at any time and delete them if you don't need them anymore.
Offer handout downloads during the session
Anyone who is part of the session room can download handouts. Once you join a session, go to the Handouts tab on the left of your page and click the Download icon for any handout.
Happy organizing!
