When hosting events that require you to know which attendees will take part, vetting ticket registrations before the event is necessary. Having an approval process for your tickets can help you streamline reviewing registrations made by attendees. Zoho Backstage now offers an option for preapproving ticket registrations to help you do just that. Let's look at how.
Enable preapproval in Backstage
When you create tickets for your event in the Tickets tab under the Microsite Builder, enable the Preapprove registrations toggle. Attendees who want to register for your event will only be allowed to send a request for tickets. Each order request will be displayed in Backstage in the Preapproval tab of the Registrations tab under Manage Dashboard.
Review order requests
Order requests that you receive can be approved or denied. When you approve order requests, if the attendee has requested free tickets, they are automatically confirmed. If the attendee has requested tickets that require payment, after the attendee has completed the purchase, the paid order will be confirmed. Once an order request is confirmed, they will be automatically moved to the Order Summary tab.
When you deny order requests, attendees will be informed about it through email. Attendees whose order requests are denied will not be able to register for that event with the same email address again.
You can also cancel order requests if you want to remove the request without denying it. Attendees whose order requests are canceled can send another request with the same email address, if needed.
After ticket orders are reviewed and the order status is updated, attendees will then be sent an email with more details about their confirmed order.
Happy organizing!
