Tip#21: Arrange and style images in documents with ease

We use compelling images to supplement our content. Some use images in the background, some use it to convey numerical data and others use it to add some visual flair to their documents.

In this week's tip, let's take a look at how Image Options in Writer lets you arrange, style and annotate images—giving you more control over where and how you want images to be presented in a document.

To arrange an image follow the below steps:

1. Click the required image to be edited and from the Image Options panel on the left, go to Arrange.

2. Alternatively, you can also access the Arrange options from the left side of the image.

  3. Under Arrange header, choose the wrap type. The selected type will be applied to your image.

Image Style

To style an image follow the below steps:

1.Click the required image to be edited and from the Image Options panel on the left, go to Style. From here, you can choose to change the image opacity and apply borders/styles to the image.

Image Opacity

This option can be used to apply image transparency. For example, if you want an image to be in the background of the text, this option will be helpful. You can increase or decrease the percentage of opacity and apply to any image in your document.

Image Border

1. Select the image and go to Image Border under Style from the left panel of the editor.

2. The Image Border option lets you apply border color, change the style and width of the border for the selected image.
