Tip of the week #25 - Stay informed on your team members' work
Transparency is crucial in any team, regardless of size and number. Only when the tasks and processes in a team are transparent will there be a productive work environment.
There are certain features in Zoho TeamInbox that will help you and your team members know who's handling which task, the activities being performed on the tasks, and so on.
- While the "Assigned to me" section on the left pane will display the list of threads that are assigned to you, the "Assigned to others" view contains all the threads that are assigned to your team members. This will let you know who is handling a particular task, what is the progress that they have made, and a clear timeline of the activities that have been performed in the thread.
- If you feel a particular thread is of high priority, or you want to stay updated on every single activity that's happening on the thread, you can "Follow" a thread. Every time an activity is performed on the thread, you will now be notified. These threads will be present in the "Following" view on the left pane.
- When there are new comers in your team, it's important that they get to know about the processes and the hang of how things are being done in the team. Training newcomers becomes effortless with Zoho TeamInbox. You can assign newcomers a “Observer” role in an inbox, so they can only view and comment on threads and cannot reply or perform any other activities at first. You can change their role and permissions when you think they are ready.
