Tip of the week #5 - Creating and managing email templates for teams
Responding to emails should not be consuming a huge part of your productive time. Create email templates for common requests so your team does not have to write the response from scratch every time. You will also make quicker replies by this. The time that you'd spend in drafting these canned responses will be more than recovered later.
Your team can also save the time of discussing the same solution many times over with different members. Even a newbie can now pick up the template and send it right away.
In addition to saving time, you can make sure that your recipients are receiving a response that is 100% accurate, leaving no space for error. The tone and the content of the response highly depends on the emotional state of the writer. There are high chances that they might shorten the explanation, miss out points, and just give an overview of the solution instead of getting into the details. Using templates here makes sure that you send out everything that your recipient might be needing.
You can create and manage canned responses from the team's settings. Also note that only a team admin can create a signature template.
