Tip of the week 57 -Plan and stay focused with your email campaigns calendar



The current global scenario has made the day-to-day business operation to slow down a little. However, the good news is that it gives us a substantial amount of time in hand to think and plan our marketing strategies.

 

So, email marketers can make the best use of their time by thinking and sketching down an email campaign that will help in creating a consistent email engagement series in the long run.

 

Here's a bundle of tips that will help you get started to build an email campaign calendar to reap greater results for this year.

 


1) Mark down all major holidays

 

Holidays are obviously the best way to enjoy our hearts out, at the same time holidays are also the best time to have a great engagement with your email subscribers. 

 

So, mark the upcoming holidays of this year to create email campaigns ahead of time and treat yourself with a peaceful holiday.

 

To save your time, Zoho Campaign has an inbuilt marketing campaign calendar with all major country holidays and one can also easily customize it by adding private holidays and events.


 

2) Get reminded to be prepared

 

Email marketers tend to jump from one campaign to another and may,  miss out crafting or sending out holiday email campaigns. 

 

During this time, reminders become the best friend of email marketers by keeping a track on the upcoming email campaign that has to be sent and also notifying them at the right time.

 

So do not forget to set up reminders in your Campaign Calendar to receive prior - notification about public or private holidays/events.


 

3) Share the plan to coordinate easily


 

Team-work is the key to craft a successful email campaign, and to achieve this, the proper communication of your campaign plan is necessary.

 

So, communicate the email campaign plan by sharing it using the holiday sharing feature of the campaign calendar. This will help the team members to stay on the same page and coordinate with others accordingly.


 

4) Pre-design a campaign draft to flow easily with the plan  

 

Planning plays a major role in the execution of an email campaign. 

 

So, make some space for campaign execution in campaign calendar by setting up an initial draft for your upcoming email campaigns along with marking down the important days, and setting up a reminder for the same.

 

By doing this, one can reduce the initial chaos of setting up the email campaign and have ample of time, later on, to focus more on creating quality of content.
