Two-Way Sync Between Zoho One Departments and Zoho Cliq Channels

Dear Zoho Cliq Support Team,

As for now there is only kind of a one-way sync between zpho one departments and teams to zoho cliq (removing users from channels when they leave a team) - So I'd like to propose a feature request that would significantly improve user management and streamline team collaboration within Zoho One.

Current Challenge:

Adding agents to Zoho Cliq channels currently requires manual intervention. This can be inefficient, especially when managing large teams or frequent team changes.

Proposed Feature:

We propose the implementation of a two-way automatic synchronization between departments and teams in Zoho One and teams/ or organization channels in Zoho Cliq.

This feature would ensure:

  • Automatic Addition to Channels: When an agent is assigned to a department or a team or just to the organization in Zoho One, they should be automatically added to all relevant Team or Organization channels associated with that department, team or organization.

  • Automatic Removal from Channels: Conversely, when an agent is removed from a department, team or organization, they should be automatically removed from the corresponding channels in Cliq.

Benefits:

  • Improved Efficiency: Automating user assignment to channels eliminates manual work, saving time and resources for administrators.

  • Reduced Errors: Minimizes the risk of agents missing out on important communication due to manual assignment delays or omissions.

  • Enhanced Collaboration: Ensures agents are always aligned with the relevant communication channels for their current departmental roles.

Conclusion:

We believe this feature would be a valuable addition to Zoho Cliq, simplifying team management and fostering better collaboration within departments. We encourage you to consider its implementation in a future update.

                                              Perform effective team communication in Zoho Chat with our new 'Reply' option.   Converse and stay focussed on the parent conversation, rather than getting entangled in the web of several, never-ending sub threads.   To reply to a certain message, all you need to do is hover to the left hand side of the message.
