Usage Log Wish List / Feature Requests
Hello, all!
I thought I'd start a thread to capture our collective Usage Log feature requests, in no particular order:
- the ability to search across all columns
- the ability to download the log
- the creation of a new log entry type called "Warning", and reclassifying "Workflow terminated" errors as Warnings
- the ability to click on a link in errors (and warnings) and open a new tab to the pertinent workflow etc. (e.g. Workflow terminated by user Line:(50)). It would be especially nice to have the newly-opened page jump to line 50.
- allow any number of email addresses to be emailed when errors or warnings occur
- replace the Message text with the first 40 characters of the "Full log" text, as the information shown in the Message and Details columns are repetitive, making the Message column less functional when viewing errors
- limit log lines to single lines (to make clicking the Previous and Next buttons through multiple pages of log entries easier, instead of having to move the mouse each time)
- replace the graphic arrows in the Details column with the > symbol (for easier copying and exporting)
