Note :
The change list will not appear in permalink and embedded views. It will work only within the application
Known issue :
The change list appears for views that are embedded in HTML view and that are filtered by direct URLs. It should not appear in these cases also. We will fix it tomorrow before updating in https://creator.zoho.com
[Update on Jan 11th] : For permalink and embedded views including those that are embedded in HTML view will also have the change list.
However "Save" and "Save as" buttons will not be there. Only "Reset" button will be there. This will act as a visual aid for end users to know the changes(like search/filter/etc) they have done in a view.
- Auto filters can now be selected multiple times across various fields
- All the selected options will be shown with a tick mark
- Selected items can be deselected by selecting them again
- Custom filters are now listed in a separate dropdown box for better accessibility
- New custom filter can be created after a search is performed and/or a filter is applied.
- Column label can be renamed in the drop down menu.
- Lookup field's data can be linked to another view in the drop down menu
- Summing a column can be enabled/disabled in the drop down menu.
- Any changes that a view has undergone in one or more of the following operations will be listed individually
- List of Operations
- Change in the view type
- Auto Filter
- Custom Filter
- Search
- Sorting
- Grouping
- Hiding columns
- Renaming columns (new)
- Enabling/Disabling Sum (new)
- Enabling/Disabling link for a lookup field (new)
- Number of entries per page
- Even if you navigate away from the view, all the changes will be preserved as they are. You can either save the changes to the same view or save as a new view. You can reset at anytime to get the original view
- Owner and the admin of the application will be able to save the changes to the same view and save as a new view.
- Shared users will be able to save the changes as a new view. However, if shared access is revoked or the view is deleted, shared users cannot access their saved views.
- For public views, a user who is added to the owner's account will be able to save the changes as a new view. All other users including public users(who are not logged in) will not be able to view the list of changes or save those changes.
- Various links/buttons of view are moved to the right side of the view, giving a clean look of the data. Export link is brought out of the "More Actions" menu.
- Add,Delete,Duplicate and the custom actions will appear only when one or more records are selected
- Custom actions will appear as buttons/links and not as a drop down menu
