November celebrates its individuality through music, federal holidays, thanksgiving, camel races, lantern festivals and much more. We at Zoho Books celebrate November with a bunch of slick new additions to enhance your experience. So buckle up, and read on.
1) Manage your Custom Fields
Custom fields were already a part of Zoho Books but now you get to mark them Active, Inactive or Mandatory.
The field-related information might differ from time to time depending upon the needs of your business and that's when you would want to mark them as Active or Inactive.
If you want to capture certain information your customers mandatorily as Social Security Number (SSN) or Permanent Account Number (PAN), select the “Is Mandatory field” option in the custom field editing page.
To know more about managing your Custom Fields, Read here.
2)Customize Reports with Custom Fields
Let's consider you have added a Custom field to view the Expense Limit for your customers. Later, while sorting your Reports, you want to view your Customers with the same filter applied. For this, run the Expenses by Customer Report, customize it using column names and view the expense limit for your customers.
This facility is also available in Invoice Details Report.
3)New Report—Sales Order Details Report
There is a new addition to the Reports gallery, the
Sales Order Details Report
. Along with viewing the status of your sales order, you can also view the shipment dates. This report can be also used as a reference when reviewing sales orders and quotes.
4)Add Attachments to your Questions and Feedback
Not able to clearly convey your query to us? With the support to attach files directly in our Contact Support section, we make it a lot easier for you to add precise information to your e-mails.
For our U.K. Edition Customers
VAT Calculation Summary Report
With this new addition to the Reports section of Zoho Books, you can now view the breakdown of boxes in your VAT Returns. Click on the value of an individual box to have a detailed list of your transactions.
You can also export the VAT Calculation Summary in PDF or in XLS format, along with detailed drill-down pages for each box.
For our Canadian Edition Customers:
1)Record Instalment Payments
If you are a business owner in Canada who files tax returns annually and the net tax is $3000 or more, you may have to make instalment payments to the Canada Revenue Agency. Now the question is, as you make these instalments, how do you record them?
You can use the GST/HST Return report in Zoho Books, and open the Unfiled Returns to record your instalment payments seamlessly.

2)Send your Invoices via Snail Mail
Cater to the needs of your customers who would rather receive a hard copy of their invoice than an e-mail. Send it through snail mail so that your customers receive an invoice which has a great print quality, and an included detachable payment stub which helps to track your payments.
