Hello, users,
As we transition into the second quarter of the year, we wanted to make sure you're up to date on the latest improvements to Zoho Books. We've made some significant updates last month that will help you stay on top of your business finances with ease. Let's take a quick look at what's new in Zoho Books this April.
Record Locking
You can now lock individual records of invoices and credit notes in Zoho Books. This means that once a record is locked, other users in your organization won't be able to edit or delete it. To lock a record, you'll first have to enable Record Locking from the General preferences of that particular module.
Once you've enabled it in the General preferences of a module, navigate to the record that you want to lock and lock it from the record's Details page.
Please note that this feature is only available in the Premium, Ultimate, and Elite plans of Zoho Books.
To enable record locking: Go to Settings > Preferences > navigate to the module that you want to enable Record Locking for > enable Record Locking.
To lock a record: Go to the Details page of the record you want to lock > click the More icon > click Lock Record.
Pergamon ETR for e-Invoicing in Kenya
Zoho Books now supporting Pergamon, an ETR service provider to help you push your invoices to KRA.
To select your preferred ETR: Go to Settings > e-Invoicing > select the ETR from the Connect Zoho Books with KRA dropdown.
Stripe Integration [India edition]
Introducing Stripe in the India edition of Zoho Books. Stripe is an online payment service provider, that lets you accept credit and debit card payments. Once you integrate your Zoho Books organisation with the Stripe payment gateway, your customers will be able to make one-time card payments towards their invoices.
Note: To receive foreign currency payments through Stripe, you'll have to provide your customer's shipping address while creating the invoice.
To set up the integration: Go to Settings > Online Payments > Click Set up Now in the Stripe card.
Credit Notes in Customer Portal
We have introduced the Credit Notes module in the Customer Portal. This lets your customers see their credit notes and find out which invoices they were applied to. They can also view any refund details and documents that are attached. Also, your customers will be able to add comments to a credit note, if needed.
To enable Credit Notes in Customer Portal: Go to Settings > Customer Portal > Check the option Display credit notes in the portal.
Do give these features a spin and let us know what you think in the comments below.
Cheers,
The Zoho Books Team
