Every month we will take a specific industry - address all the industrial processes and how you can make best use of Creator for that industry. This will enhance the user experience as it will show them how much is possible in Creator.

About the Speaker
Easwaran Ram holds master’s degree in computer science and is working as Vice President at SynProSoft, one of the Zoho Premium Partners in Chennai. He has over two decades of experience in building software solutions in Zoho and other platforms for global customers in the areas of manufacturing, health care, financial services, retail, hospitality, entertainment, education and services.
He is a toastmaster, a public speaker, loves to mentor students and write articles on various subjects.
About the Session
As we step into our third session, we are showcasing the predominant industry "Manufacturing"
Manufacturing
The manufacturing industry consists of companies that buy raw materials, put them through various production processes and produce finished goods.
The manufacturing workflow spans the stages from the time a sale is closed and the work order is generated to production planning, procurement, inventory management, the production process, quality inspection (of raw materials, semi-finished goods during the production process and the finally manufactured finished goods), packaging, dispatch and integration with accounting for purchase orders, payables, invoicing and receivables.
The manufacturing ERP application built using Zoho Creator can help small, medium and even large manufacturing companies in handling all of the above processes. Integration with different third party software is also possible via APIs to pull automatically and push data to and from the ERP application.
In this session, SynProSoft will be showcasing a full-fledged manufacturing ERP solution built on Zoho Creator that can be used by manufacturing companies.
They will provide an overview of the following modules in the ERP solution:
- Production Planning Module – Material Resource Planning and Bill of Materials (BoM)
- Procurement Module – Vendor management, Price Books, RFQs and Quotations and Purchase Orders
- Inventory Module – covering raw materials, semi-finished goods, finished goods and tools as well. We will highlight why a custom inventory solution is required for manufacturers.
- Production Module – Tracking the various materials, machines and steps involved in the manufacturing process including Job Work
- Quality Inspection Module – covering quality inspection of raw materials, semi-finished goods during the production process and the finally manufactured finished goods
- Packaging & Dispatch Module – Packaging rules, post-packaging inspection and dispatch note
In particular, they will focus on the Production Planning and the Production Process, which is a key requirement for manufacturing companies. Production Routing is different for different sectors and can also vary quite a bit across companies within the same manufacturing vertical. Zoho Creator as a low code platform can help in customising the Production Module to suit the requirements of a manufacturer.
They will also describe how the ERP application in Creator can be integrated with
- Zoho CRM for the sales process and
- Zoho Books to manage the Accounting process including vendor payments, invoicing and collections.
- Other third party software like Salesforce or any other CRM on the sales side and SAP or Oracle Financials or any other accounting software.
