Good Morning!
I have a couple of questions for guys to try to answer please.
Question #1I have been using ZoHo Meeting for about a month now (and love it) yet still am confused on how exactly to install the client the correct way. I just set up a new OS install and went to ZoHo's website to start a remote session. After downloading, installing, and opening the desktop plugin; I only get prompted to enter the session key - nothing else. I also do not have a desktop icon.
On my previous installation, it would give me all kinds of options just like described in your instructions here:
http://zmeeting.wiki.zoho.com/Desktop-Shortcut.html as well as a desktop icon.
Question #2This is somewhat related to question #1. 80% of the users that I use ZoHo meeting with are using it on their computers for the first time. These remote users aren't that computer literate and I usually spend more time describing how for them to find the information bar than I do fixing the issue. To simplify this so that all they have to do is click on a link or icon and enter the key without a need to install an activex control, I tried pushing out ZoHo meeting to their computers on the domain.
I tried this 2 different ways. The first one is that I created an MSI package of ZoHo Meeting plugin (described in question #1) and pushed it out via group policy. The second is I used a program to push it out in a different way. Once it was pushed out, I know it was successful due to changes in the filesystem and registry, but they still had no icon and were still prompted to install activex.
I really don't care that the icons is there, it just seems that the computers that I've worked on where ZoHo Meeting works correctly have one and the ones that don't work correctly do not. Conclusion:Do you have a package that I can download or instructions to follow to where I can install ZoHo Meeting on a desktop and have it automatically place an icon on the desktop? I think that this would probably be the answer to both of my questions. It does not have to be an MSI as I can make those myself.
Thanks for your time and thank you in advance! - Ben
