I have just found the Zoho Recruit Webforms Beta and I think it has great potential. We will use both the Zoho Recruit Webforms Beta and the Zoho Forms with Zoho Recruit integration. The later offers more general flexibility which we find suitable for catching applications from jobs presented at our homepage (easy to integrate). But we would like to use the Zoho Recruit Webforms Beta when Candidates register their profile with us. It has a fantastic feature since the form fields are automatically linked to the different Modules fields options. We use several Pick-List fields in our Modules in Zoho Recruit with many pick alternatives. To replicate these on a regular Zoho Forms Multi-choice field is a nightmare. Even worse to keep both fields aligned when you add choices. With the Zoho Recruit Beta you only update the Pick-List field in Zoho Recruit, the update in the form is automatic.
But we do not dare to use the Zoho Recruit Webforms Beta for a single use case as it is implemented today. The feature includes a function to approve adding the new record to the Zoho Recruit database. But this feature only works for the first time when a record with a new email address is added. Once it s added, the record can be updated again through the form without record owner's control. That might be fine if you enable only a few fields of a record. But it is also possible to modify any previously record in the system if you know the email address of the record. There is a double opt-in that could protect this, but once a record has been verified through an opt-in, the opt-in will never be sent again.
As the function is implemented I do not see a single use case where it could be used without jeopardizing the integrity of the whole database. I am interested in what use case product management have in mind for this feature?
If I could make a wish, I would suggest the implemented opt-in function operational for any submission from the form when the opt-in function is selected. Even for secondary updates. This would at least protect the database. A second wish would be to always pass through the record owners approval even for later updates via the form. In this way the form would be a one-way street for data submission which would be great!
And I really hope you will fix this. Soon. The integration of the Pick-List fields is great feature! And the Skills field works as well for arbitrary additional data entries!
